Shadowing
A "shadow visit" affords current 8th grade students who have not yet enrolled, as well as high school students interested in transferring, the opportunity to participate in a typical school day at Bishop Dwenger High School. Visitors are asked to report to the Main Office by 7:45 a.m, where they will be met by a Student Ambassador who will escort the visiting student to classes. Lunch will be provided. A Shadow Visit Permission and Emergency Form (pdf) will need to be completed and returned to the front office at least one week prior to the requested shadow date. Please note that not all school days are available for visitation. Visitors will only be allowed from October 1 through May 15, and we cannot accept visitors during the final week of each grading period.
Please feel free to contact Laura Elden at (260) 496-4703 or email lelden@bishopdwenger.com, with any questions.
Open House
We would like to encourage all fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students and their parents to join us for this special evening. This special invitation goes out to students currently enrolled at our feeder schools - Queen of Angels, St. Charles, St. Jude, and St. Vincent de Paul in Fort Wayne, St. Mary's in Avilla, and St. Joseph's in Garrett - and any other students from the surrounding area, including those currently enrolled in other area schools.
The annual Open House provides you with an opportunity to explore the many academic programs Dwenger has to offer students. You will also be given the chance to learn about athletics and dozens of other co-curricular activities that help make up a high school experience. Parents and students will be given the opportunity to meet with faculty, staff, coaches and moderators.
Everyone is invited to join us for this informative evening that promises to be entertaining as well. Our student B.D. Ambassadors will be available to conduct tours of our facilities. Come out and see the new fine arts wing which houses both visual and performing arts, the state of the art science labs, and spend a quiet moment in our chapel.
Experience what it means to "Learn for Life" at Bishop Dwenger High School!
Saints Day
Saints Day, held at the end of November or beginning of December each year, is a fun visitation day open to all 8th grade students interested in attending Bishop Dwenger. For more information, please call Laura Elden at (260) 496-4703 or email lelden@bishopdwenger.com.
We often have calls about what students should wear... please no jeans, shorts, sweats or tshirts. Also, lunch is on us. You do not have to bring one!
