January 30

  • Tuesday's Snowcoming Theme is White Out - wear white uniform tops (if you have one) with uniform bottoms for our All School Mass.
  • Art Club and the Fine Arts Academic Team will be meeting this Wednesday 2/1 after school until 4:00pm in Mrs. Scheribel's room.
  • The Liturgical Choir will have a brief rehearsal after school today, Monday, January 30th, in the choir room to review Mass music for tomorrows All School Mass.
  • Thursday February the 2nd FBLA will be meeting in the cafeteria at 7:20 am. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Weadock, Mr. Robinette, or Mrs. Lewis.
  • Congratulations to Lauren Galbraith for earning a Gold Division Rating on Piano at ISSMA Solo Festival on Saturday.
  • Congratulations to BD Winter Guard for earning a gold placement in Festival Class at Snider HS contest on Saturday.
  • NHS will have a meeting tomorrow morning at 7:20am.

January 24

  • Congratulations to the Wrestling team on it's 2nd place finish as a team on Saturday at the SAC Championships.  The Saints placed 10 wrestlers in the finals, with 3 winning a conference title.  Winning 1st pleace were:  113 lbs. Simon Cornewell, 132 lbs. Xavier Garrett, 170 lbs. Luke Schuckel.  Placeing 2nd were:  Javier Henry, Thomas Szczepanski, Grant Hilger, Eric Delaney, Lukas Alderdice, Austin Farris, and Dino Caudill.  Sectionals are this week at Carroll on Saturday @ 8:00am.  
  • Philomena's Friends will meet  after school in Room 111.

  • Several Bishop Dwenger athletes received coveted invitations to the US Army Marksmanship Unit’s Junior Air Rifle National Championships this past weekend.  We are very proud of how all of the athletes performed but we would like to give a special shout out to Gretchen Schleinkofer who placed 15th in the nation out of the 112 athletes that were invited to this competitive field.  Many of these athletes have represented the United States at international competitions.  Gretchen was squadded on a team of athletes from Northeast Indiana.  Her team finished third in the nation.  Bishop Dwenger will finish the season later this month, compete in individual qualifiers for the Junior Olympics, and finally compete in the state championships in March.  Congrats to Gretchen and best of luck to the team as they finish their season and head to the state championship. 
  • This Thursday, 1/26/2023, The Baking Saints Club, in collaboration with the CRS Club, will have a meeting right after school. This meeting will be a pretty big one, as we are working with the CRS club to make as many cookies as we can to donate them to a charity of their choice! Although they will be baking with us, we will certainly need as many people as possible. You know what they say, many hands make light work! If you are available this Thursday, please consider coming and helping us to better serve our community. Do not even worry about signing up, feel free to come by, even if you can only stay for a short time. 
  • We will kick off Catholic Schools Week by drawing a Saints Alive! Blue & Gold Raffle ticket each day! Every day of Catholic Schools Week, the student seller listed on the ticket will win a prize!  If there is a team or club listed on that ticket, the team or club will receive $100! The winning ticket will then GO BACK into the Grand Prize drawing for ANOTHER chance to win! Sell your tickets now (or get more!) to increase your chances of winning!!

  • Bishop Dwenger competed on Saturday in Concordia Classic (against 13 school) and got 2nd with the score of 107.

  • Annual Anthis Career Center Meeting:  All 10th and 11st graders along with their parents are invited to our annual Anthis Career Center meeting on Wednesday, January 25 during 7th period in the Library.  To attend, you  must return the RSVP form mailt to all homes or see Mrs. Bennett in the Guidance Office by Monday, January 23.
  • The Winter session of the SAT/ACT class has a couple open spots for enrollment.  Class registration is open through Friday.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Brady or Mrs. McTague.  Class starts next week.

  • SEA will have a meeting on Thursday after school. Topics include out entry for saints Alive and Earth Week. If you are not able to make it or are still curious as to what SEA is all about, please stop by room 112 and see Mrs. Walker for more information. 

    SEA collects Recycling every Tuesday and Wednesday unless mentioned differently on the announcements. This counts as flex and list hours. Please join us in serving our school and making it a greener space.

  • CONGRATULATIONS to SUMMIT SOUND Show Choir for winning the 2nd Runner Up Trophy at Jay County Show Choir Competition, this past Saturday.  Congratulations to Eric Dumford for being selected for The Outstanding Performer Award. Theresa Sarrazine was awarded the 3rd place Trophy for her vocal solo in the Solo Competiton, competing with 17 soloists.  SUMMIT SOUND's next competition is February 4 at Northrop.
  • Congratulations to the Boys Swim and Dive team for winning the SAC Championship on Saturday.

  • Per Administration there will be no  parking permits issued to Sophomores as there are only 4 parking spots left available.  These available spots will be issued to Upperclassmen only.  Additional spots will be available after Spring Break  when there is no more threat of snow.  Sorry for any inconvenience.
