Regular attendance is essential to student success. If your student will be absent, late, or needs to leave early, please notify the Attendance Office as soon as possible.

Reporting an Absence
Parents/guardians must report all student absences by one of the following methods:
Call the Attendance Office before 9:00 a.m. on the day of the absence
Digital/email notifications will not be accepted.
Absences not reported will be counted as truant.
Excused Absences
The following are considered excused absences when properly reported:
Illness or medical appointments
Family emergencies
Religious observances
School-approved activities
A doctor’s note may be required for extended absences.
Tardies & Early Dismissals
Students arriving late must check in at the attendance office before going to class.
For early dismissals, a written note or email from a parent/guardian is required prior to the dismissal time.
Students must sign out through the Attendance Office.
Attendance Policy
Consistent attendance is required by state law and school policy. Excessive absences may result in academic or disciplinary consequences. Please refer to the Student Handbook for full attendance guidelines.
Tardy Consequences
- 1st-3rd - Warning
- 4th-5th - After School Detention
- 6th-7th - Friday School
- 8th-9th - In-School Suspension
- 10th or more - ISS with Parent Meeting (jeopardizes possible enrollment in that class)
*No participation in extra-curricular activities on the dayof an absence, ISS or OSS
