Career Academy
Built for a Purpose
“The future begins today, not tomorrow.” -Saint Pope John Paul II
Bishop Dwenger High School is making history by building for the future! After more than two years of planning, studies, and navigating the approval process, we will finally break ground on a revolutionary expansion: an authentically Catholic Career Academy. The Bishop Dwenger Career Academy will be one of only three Catholic High School Career and Technical Academies in the nation.
Areas of study
Bishop Dwenger’s Career Academy will challenge traditional models not only in the types of offerings, but throughout the structure of the entire curriculum. Programs were selected and designed to best meet the needs of students, the community, and remain true to the mission of Bishop Dwenger. Programs will include:
- Biomedical
- Engineering
- Construction Trades
- Welding and Metal Fabrication
- Entrepreneurship

Students will have expanded options for dual-credit courses as well as the opportunity to achieve relevant certifications. The academy will satisfy requirements for the updated Indiana graduation pathways, ensuring every student the opportunity to not only graduate from high school, but also benefit from additional credits and certifications.
Partnerships
Bishop Dwenger is proud to partner with the Tippmann Group and Michael Kinder and Sons (MKS) to complete this project. The Tippmann Group is giving their time and talent as the operating owner-rep. MKS has been selected as the builder to execute the completion of our academy. Having built many local career centers and training facilities, they have the knowledge and experience to deliver an outstanding facility.
Funding
The total project costs register at $6,500,000. So far, $3,500,000 has been raised or pledged. This initiative is more than just a building; it’s an investment in the future workforce and in the lives of young people who will gain access to high-demand careers. With your support, we can bridge the gap between education and industry, inspire students to discover their talents, and address the growing need for skilled professionals in our communities. Your contribution will help shape a space where students not only learn but thrive—and where purpose meets potential. We now call upon our alumni, families, and friends to help make this a reality for our Saints. You can give through your business, make a personal pledge, or establish a scholarship. Join us as we boldly march into the future!
Corporate Partnership
Do you have a business, practice, or firm that aligns with our mission? Be a corporate partner! For a tax-deductible five-year pledge of $50,000 or more, you will have naming rights as well as visible signage in a relevant field of study. Get in front of your hiring demands by introducing your brand and opportunities to a premium work force of educated, trained, and faithful young Saints!
Personal Gifts and Pledges
Do you believe in an enriching, hands-on experience through the lens of our shared beliefs? Do you want to see the Catholic faith in action in our community’s work force? Do you believe in fruitful college and career readiness? Please consider a pledge to help fund the Bishop Dwenger Career Academy. Pledges can be made over a term of up to five years, are tax deductible, and will transform not only our school, but our entire community. There are a variety of opportunities for naming rights and listings. Please see our funding page for more details.
Scholarship Endowment
Endow a scholarship for a student enrolled in our Career Academy! A gift of $12,000 or more will establish a scholarship that will live on forever. Name a gift in honor of a loved one, a business, or alumnus. Your gift will help a deserving Saint afford top-quality training and education that will change the course of their life.
