Project Lead the Way: Biomedical Program

Through a sequence of four courses, students will learn about various fields in the medical profession, culminating in the capstone course their senior year. Intended for those wishing to someday have a career in the field of medicine, this program will expose students to professions including but not limited to nursing, physicianship, physical therapy, sports medicine, biomedical engineering, environmental science, epidemiology, and genetics. After application and acceptance into the program, students will solve real world problems with a hands-on approach to learning. The program is designed to explore local and global health challenges. Labs are modeled after the skills that medical professionals use every day. By applying in year one, students are making the commitment to the program for the four-year duration as long as prerequisites are met annually.
