In honor of Bishop Dwenger's 60th Anniversary, we are brining back some old traditions and starting new ones! Homecoming 2023 is jam packed of fun events that you don't want to miss out on.
While the students will have themed days throughout the week at school, here are some important events happening outside of school:
Wednesday, September 13
- Powderpuff Game and Cookout
That's right! We're brining back the Powderpuff Game. Join us at Shields Field to cheer on the girls as the Juniors take on the Seniors. Gates open at 6:30 pm, game starts at 7:00 pm.
Friday, September 15
- Homecoming Celebration
Join us for some pregame fun at Shields Field with food trucks, music, and cornhole before our partner school night face off vs Homestead. Watch the ceremonial football delivery of the helicopter landing and stay for the post-game fireworks show! Food trucks will be in the BD parking lot for 5:00 pm to halftime. Gates open at 6 pm, kickoff at 7:00 pm.
This Homecoming, we will place our time capsule back in the cornerstone as part of our 60th Anniversary Jubilee! Join us at 6:00 pm in front of the school as we honor the past, recognize the present, and bless the future.
If you are a Bishop Dwenger Alumni, bring your letterman jacket OR letter sweater to the game to get your bag of Dwenger cookies (yes, we have the old recipe!) and we will get a group picture out on the field of all our alumni!
Saturday, September 16
- Alumni Basketball Game
Come out and watch our alumni basketball game at 6:00 pm in the Main Gymnasium! If you would like to participate, contact Coach Kostoff at mkostoff@bishopdwenger.com.
- MORP (Prom, just backwards!)
MORP will be held in the SAC Gymnasium from 7:00-10:00 pm. Match your date or wear all white and glow! All grades are invited and encouraged to attend. Tickets will be on sale soon and proceeds will benefit the Tuffettes.
