SAT/ACT Prep Course

Our SAT/ACT Bootcamp will include information needed to prepare for both the new digital SAT and traditional ACT tests. The course will focus on the structure and questions of the new digital SAT along with strategies and tips. Although much of the information for the ACT and SAT exams is the same, the Bishop Dwenger SAT/ACT course thoroughly addresses the differences between the two tests in order to provide the best preparation for students taking either or both tests.

Our SAT/ACT course also has the following advantages:

1. Mrs. Brady and Mrs. McTague have decades of experience with remedial to honors/AP students.

2. Class time is devoted to review of relevant material and strategies to approach and succeed in answering standardized test questions.

3. The course is priced well below other preparatory programs.

4. Assistance is available even after the course is completed.

The course includes 8 sessions designated to help the students do their best on the new digital SAT and the ACT exams. Tuesdays are for math and science (part of the ACT), while Thursdays are for critical reading, grammar, and writing. We will be using the most current edition of The Official Digital SAT study guide from The College Board.

Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. starting February 6, 2024 and ending February 28, 2024 (class will meet on Wednesday instead of Thursday that week due to Saints Alive and building usage). Students will need to bring their computers along with a notebook to every class. Since spots are reserved at registration, any withdrawals from February 6, 2024 to February 9, 2024 will be subject to a 50% penalty. No refunds after the first week of class.

Please note: In the case of inclement weather, please check the BD website for information about the class. Any sessions which are unable to meet will be rescheduled.

The cost for the class is $175.00, which includes the preparation book. The attached link will take you to the registration form and payment page.

SAT testing dates for this school year are: March 9, May 4, and June 1, 2024. In addition, all Dwenger Juniors will take the SAT at school on March 12.

ACT testing dates for this school year are: April 13, June 8, and July 13, 2024

While there is no guarantee that students will achieve a particular score, this course will develop test familiarity and pacing, effective test strategies for specific question types, and a comprehensive review of necessary math, science, and English basic skills. Attendance and participation are very important for success. Any student causing a disciplinary problem will be removed from the class without a refund.

If you have any questions or problems, contact either Mrs. Brady or Mrs. McTague through the Main Office at 496-4700 or email at smctague@bishopdwenger.com.

Class size is limited! Please, DO NOT DELAY, as we usually have to turn students away. Registration for the class will end on February 6, 2024 UNLESS THE CLASS FILLS EARLIER. If you are interested, follow the link below for registration.

Thank you. We look forward to helping your son or daughter prepare for these very important tests.

Please note: Any refunds from February 6, 2024 to February 9 will be subject to a 50% penalty. No refunds after the first week of class
