Drivers Education

To enroll you must be at least 15 years or older.

The state of Indiana requires 30 hours of classroom instruction which can be taken during one of the three sessions (spring, summer, or fall) offered at Bishop Dwenger or online at any time. The cost of the program, including the driving portion, is $395. This fee also includes the road test required by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, if you qualify (B- or better in both the book work and driving). The driving portion, which is six (6) hours of behind the wheel driving, can be done during the spring, summer, or fall sessions.

Driver's Education Classroom Registration is now open for our Summer Session.  We will offer 2 sessions in June:  June 1st - 12th or June 15th - 26th.  Class times are either 9:00am - 12:00pm or 4:00pm - 7:00pm.  Registration deadline is May 29th for the first session and June 12th for the second session.  All forms must be received in the office no later than 12:00pm on those deadline dates.  The forms may either be printed from this web page (print double sided) or picked up in the Main Office. We will not have a Fall session this year, so if you are not able to do this summer session, the next classroom session will be in March 2027.

Online classes are available at any time. Driving instruction is only available when classroom instruction is in session. It will be your responsibility to arrange for driving instruction during those times.
