Bishop Dwenger High School welcomes and is excited to announce Sarah McClure as the new Head Girl’s Golf Coach. Sarah returns to her alma mater where she graduated from Bishop Dwenger in 2004. While attending Dwenger, she competed on the Girls’ Golf Team, where they were SAC Champs in 2000, 2002, 2003; Sectional Champs in 2000, 2003, Regional Champs as well as State Runners up in 2003. Individually, Sarah was All-SAC all four years of her golf career. After Bishop Dwenger, she attended the Purdue University where she played two years of golf until an injury forced her to retire competitively. Sarah will bring lots of experience and knowledge to Bishop Dwenger and have full confidence that she will continue the success that Bishop Dwenger Girls Golf is known for.
For girls that are interested in trying out for golf this year, Bishop Dwenger will hold tryouts on Friday, July 28th at Riverbend Golf Course. Please arrive at 8:00 am as the first tee time will be at 8:30 am. Practice will continue at Shoaff Park on Saturday July 29th from 10:00-11:30 am , working on hitting, putting, and chipping. Girls must have all required physical and athletic forms completed and turned in prior to trying out.
